How do I update 1000 RPM's without RHN's Up2Date tool?
Hi - I'm behind a NAT, and I can't get Redhat's Up2Date to work. It doesn't give me the privacy statement which makes me think there's a problem with my computer and communicating with the redhat servers. I've got my own account and password, and can log in on the website, but when I try to update it gives me an error : Problem Registering Username.
If there's anyone out there that would help me know how I can update all my RPM's either by Redhats Up2Date or with some other automatic updater. Thanks ~ bryce. |
Did you update up2date as per the instructions on redhat's website?
|
hasn't that service gone down.... isn't redhat more interested in its "enterprizing" software now and suporting it?
|
no it has not gone away - just have to register/reregister on their site and follow the directions.
Mine works fine thru terminal, type up2date and it pops up. I have found it to be great really. |
