A few days ago I accidently clicked on "lock session" the session locked and I unlocked it. Somehow that activated automatic session locking. now after a few minutes of inactivity the screen fades to black and the session is locked. How do I turn this feature off!
We have to know your desktop environment to be precise in an answer for you, but it could be as simple as a setting in your screensaver, or "kcontrol" -admin if you use KDE. Course, looking around is half the fun
ooops. Sorry. I'm using KDE on an FC7 install. The session locked and refused to accept my password. I tried several different ways to access the system but none worked. I ended up essentially pulling the plug. On restart it doesn't seem to be locking the sessions anymore. (could it be something as simple as the fact that something got scrambled and I hadn't rebooted for a few days?)
Doubtfull, but you never know. My guess is to check your screensaver settings. Should be a command to lock the screen after a certain amount of time (20min?), and this can be changed to not at all, or however long you wish.
