With mozilla go into EDIT -> PREFERENCES and in there under and advanced or connection there should be some that says proxy. Then go in an enter ip and port. In firefox EDIT -> PREFERENCES -> GENERAL -> CONNECTION SETTINGS and enter the ip of a proxy with the port number, go to http://whatismyip.com to make sure its working, and your good to go. |
thanks. but one more thing: i was fooling around with my ip address in phlak and now i can't connect. whoopsie!
What do you mean by 'fooling around with my ip'? Do you remeber what commands? Is the copy of phlak and install or running on cd?
Sorry for being so vague. I went to Internet Properties (think it's called that), typed in my password, and changed my IP. The internet didn't work. Then I set it back to "autodetect". No change. Then I rebooted. No change. I have Phlak installed to HD. Thanks for your time and help regarding this issue.

What kind of network are you one? If it is a router assigning an ip address try running dhcpd or netsetup
ok. i have cable modem. i don't have any other computers. does that mean that i don't have a router? but i'll try that.
ok, for the html proxy, i entered the ip. no http:// thing before it. then the port. i pressed ok... still didnt work.
