how do I setup Xprinter in kylix Delphi
 

Does anyone know how to enable printing from Kylix3 pro?
or where I can find information which would enable me to do this.
I installed kylix3 Pro on Mandrake 9.1 now upgraded to 9.2

My Brother HPL1230 Laser printer works with other applications
On open office it is setup as 'generic' type SGENPRT
My printer is connected through a parallel port

When I try 'File - set up printer' from kylix delphi help I get

"unable to read
home/rockyred/.XprinterDefaults
home/rockyred/kylix3/help/xprinter/XprinterDefaults
check permissions and [devices] section"

There are no XprinterDefaults files on these paths.

When I click on install there is a list of printers
There is no generic or brother laser but there is a generic laser printer
I think you need to set the port for this. When I clicked on ports there
there are enteries for my two printers. The brother laser one says
brotherLaser =lp -d Brother laser. When I selected this combination printing
goes to the laser printer but only blank pages come out.
Any indication of what to do or a URL for the same would be
appreciated
