Exclamation how do I run installation script after unpacking???


I just downloaded Firefox 0.8, and now that I have unpacked it into it's directory, I can't install it. How do I run the install script??? Anyone? Anyone?

what does the "README" say??
look in the unpacked directory and read the
"README" and "INSTALL" texts...........

Firefox doesn't need to be installed. The program is precomplied in the tarball. You should be able to type ./firefox and be in your way.

I know that if you are running in Red Hat or Fedora, you can right click on the desktop and select "Create Launcher". This will allow you to place an icon for Firefox, or any other application for that matter, on your desktop. For the icon, Firefox has an icons folder with two icons in there for it.
