How do I merge two avi clips with tovid?

How do I merge two avi clips with tovid? Tovid-batch is used to merge multiple files at once but is there a option to have those files all merged into one mpg?

do not know that way but 2 files of same type can be easily merged with the cat command

eg cd /your movies
cat a b > c
.....appends b to end of a creating a new mov called c

good news does not delete originals give it try?
