yes but go study.
I just bought a book on 'Linux Cluster Architecture' by Alex Vrenios.
It is possible for you but strenuous as a beginner.

"Building a cluster is within the reach ot any computer user with solid C programming skills and a knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and networking".

Go get specific documentation on this and that may mean spending the $30-50 on a book. You will prolly not find too much help on generic forums on stuff like this so I really recommend you get the right documentation required to get yourself started.

Please keep me posted thru this thread if you discover anything.

I have no C programming skills WHATSOEVER but I have friends to fill in those grey areas the book will not be able to teach me. All the other areas I am fine [alittle shaky on the linux OS but enough to get by].

I plan to get around to this project sometime next year so I am not much help right now. Very interested tho so let me know.
