Unhappy How do I install the new vlc 0.9.8a?

I'm using Fedora 9 and I was recommended to use the new VLC version for copying DVDs(movies) onto my PC. Could anyone give me an easy to follow step by step guide on how to install the VLC 0.9.8a???
