Question How do I install the dogpile plugin in mozilla firefox ?

distro: SuSE 9.0 Pro
Browser in question: Mozilla Firefox 0.93

*How do I install the dogpile plugin for mozilla firefox? *

I haven't found rpms. I only found the dogpile.src from http://mycroft.mozdev.org/plugins/dogpile.src.

I manually put it in the plugins directory [ /opt/MozillaFirebird/lib/plugins ] but that didn't do it. Their documentation is silent on this issue.

any ideas?

thank you,
RandomX

to add it to the search bar? click the bar and select add engines, search for dogpile and click on it, select yes when ask if you want to add the engine.

Yeah, actually that was the first thing I tried. It did nothing.

It just went to http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html, then I typed dogpile.

I clicked 'yes' when it asked if I wanted to put dogpile on my searchbar. Restarted browser, restarted computer. No joy.

Then I decided to do it manually.

Do you know what's going on? my distro maybe? any workaournds?

Talking go it

Dude, I figured it out...I'm posting the solution just in case somebody needs it in the future....

1. Get the src and picture from http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html

2. put image file and dogpile.src somewhere

3. just do...
Code:
cp /home/randomx/dogpile.gif /opt/MozillaFirebird/lib/searchplugins
cp /home/randomx/dogpile.src /opt/MozillaFirebird/lib/searchplugins
it works great...on FireFox 0.93...not sure about older or newer versions.

Thanks again, I'm stoked man.
