How do I install LMMS?

I am running Fedora Core 9, and PackageKit is my package installer
i've tried running
"yum install lmms"
and it won't work, so I do some research, and I found out I have to add something to the repository of my package installer. PackageKit won't let me do this, but is there a way around this?
I'm relatively new to Linux, but please give me what information you think will be helpful.
thanks

You probably will want to post this in the Fedora Linux section of the forum.
