You don't associate it with your xorg file. If the xorg file you mention is /etc/X11/xorg.conf, that is only to configure the X system, not the window manager or desktop environment.
I assume you are using a login manager like KDM? In other words, when you boot up, are you presented with a screen that you enter a username and password into? Does your system log you in automatically? If it does, do you know your password and your username? If you know your password and your username, you should be able to "log out" of KDE and Enlightenment should be listed as an option on the login screen (KDM). If it is, you will need to choose it, supply your username and password and log in to the Enlightenment window manager. It may ask you if you want this to be the default, but I don't use KDM, so can't say for sure.
If Enlightenment is not an option KDM gives you, does KDE itself have an option amongst its billions of menu entries that will allow you to switch from one desktop to another as your default?
