How do i get to Lilo config to change it?

Hello all, I messed up on my slackware installation during the lilo setup. I entered "windows xp" hastily without regarding the warning to make it all one word and when i finished and installed lilo it gave me an error and stated that I would have to boot the image from my USB boot image that I made during install. When I tried this it told me the image was corrupt so now I can no longer get to lilo. am i going about this the wrong way? If i re-install slackware and at the option provided do things right will it overwrite lilo and set me up with the correct boot option? I just need to get to the lilo config file and change a line. can anyone help?

If you reinstall lilo will be overwritten.
There are some cd's out there that supposedly will allow you to boot systems in situations like this if you want to take the time to search for them, download them and then burn them.
I myself don't know of any other way to get to lilo under the circumstances other than a reinstall.

Most install CD/DVDs (any distro) will allow you to enter

linux rescue

at the boot prompt and then mount the HDD to fix it. Don't forget the rw option.

Thanks windtalker, I am in the process of. I was trying to setup a dual boot system with XP-64 and slack but I messed up during the labeling of the partitions and got that error.

Chrism01 thanks for the advice man but I already deleted the dogone partitions belonging to slack. I already set them back up the way I wanted and I am in the process of setup right now. I appreciate both of you guys' quick response. Lets see if I can get it right this time lol.

Ah well, good luck.
In any case, for low-level issues, always remember

linux rescue

and

fdisk -l

and

mount -o rw /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1
