How do i get my 'thunderbird' addressbook into an 'evolution' format?

this one is obscure, so please bear with me!

the situation is that i installed thunderbird a few weeks ago. it somehow knew where my old evo addressbook was. because evolution was giving a grief, i had to rm -rf everything and re-install. now, however, evoution can't find the addressbook that thunderbird has.

i use mutt for most of my email; i have grep'd out just the names and addresses. i like evo better than t'bird. my question is: using ethier my names and email from mutt or from thundedrbird, how can i get the addresses back into evolution?

hope my question wasn't =that= obscure!

tia.
