I think he might be using gdesklets for that, but there are probably others that do similar things.

If your referring to the weather and the monitors on the right, it looks like Superkaramba. Its really cool program.

That is indeed Superkaramba and it is running the Cynapses theme.

The program is Superkaramba, linked a few posts earlier, and it's running the cynapses_karamba theme.
The great thing about this, is that it's easy to modify, as you can see on my shot here.

I'm using the cynapses module as well, and it's really good but there's a couple of pats on it I haven't got working yet.

I managed to find a couple of references to eth0 and changed them to wlan0 for my wireless network, but it doesn't seem to show any network traffic, although it does show the cumulative in and out totals.

And I can only get one of the sensors working. The main fan speed shows up but not the cpu temps or motherboard temps.

Great wee utility though. The email indicator is handy, and saves me having to fire up Kmail just to check for new mail.

You can't use it with fluxbox cause the way SuperKaramba works with pseudo-transparency does not work under Fluxbox. I tried myself tons of times, and I've never acheived to get it to work properly.
Instead, you can use gDesklets, which basically is the same as SuperKaramba but for Gnome. Works perfectly under Fluxbox.
See one of my screenshot with it.

Note the OS X style starter bar and the weather on top right.

There are close themes for gdesklets as well. Ckeck out their homepage (don't remember the URL, just do googling on gdesklets).

There was a patch sent a "long time ago" to us to get Superkaramba working with Fluxbox. I don't know how cleanly it would apply now, but I've been looking into ways to get Superkaramba working in other window managers.
