How do I get floppy to work?
I went to mnt folder and floppy drive is not shown.
Did a quick google and saw that I needed to add the following to /etc/fstab:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
Did it, then ran mount /dev/fd0. Nothing. So how do I get floppy working?

"Did it, then ran mount /dev/fd0. Nothing. So how do I get floppy working?"
When the mount command works it gives no message, which is a common trait among Linux commands.
To see whether the mount worked issue a mount command with no parameters and it will list what is currently mounted.

mount: block device /dev/fd0 is write protected, device is read-only
also when i open the cd rom folder, it is blank. but i put a disc in there in which i burned some data. i see nothing.
mount command with no params show my hd's, cdrom and such, but no floppy.

"mount: block device /dev/fd0 is write protected, device is read-only"
You probably need to remove write protection from the floppy by closing the square hole in the floppy case.
