How do I get Flash working in Opera?

Hi

I can't get video to work in Opera 9.64 (the update to v 10 seems to be a broken package according to Gdebi). The Flash listed in preferences is flashplugin-alternative.so.

What do I need to do? I like Opera but I have to use Firefox because of this problem.

as I lost track a bit about the numerous version updates. Since 9.50 I haven't had serious problems with Flash, right now I am using 9.63/9.64 suprisingly few problems.
The instruction I wrote are valid on both 32-bits and 64-bits platforms.
If this fails, refer to the forums on my.opera.com and choose Linux specific forum.
