how do i get away from the END prompt!?

When you're doing stuff in a command window, such as a man command, you can get stuck with it saying END and you can't go anywhere or do anything. You have to cancel the window and make another one.

But now I've gotten this while running apt-get when installing Debian. HELP! How do I get away from this and continue the install !?!?!?!?!?!?

Nevermind, pressing Q did the trick. You know, sometimes people can be so stupid. And I don't mean me. That should have been fixed with an easy press of the escape key, enter, ALT+F4, or something like that.

Q is the default key for closing less/xless...don't know that it needs fixing.
