Angry How do I find out my ip?


I dont know how to get the ip address of my comp. Please someone help me.

First question: Why are you typing so big ??

Second question: How are you connecting, Cable/DSL, Dialup ??

Usually you can do a ifconfig to get your current IP. If your using an ethernet card, do a ifconfig eth0 to get the IP address.

If it is your "internet" ipaddress you can go to http://www.myip.dk (just ignore the dansih stuff on the site, your ip is at the top.)

if u use kppp as ppp client u can click 'details' and it will show your ip.

Sry guys about the lack of information I gave you, but I am running cable and have an ethernet card. I got the command and thx all for your help. Next time ill write smaller.
