how do i block an application from accessing network? firewall?
 

i need to know how to block a particular program from accessing the network. i need the program running though, so just disabling it will not do for me. i do not know what port it uses so i need to block it by name instead.
i want to know hot to access the network logs(local for my machine) to possibly pin down the program.(i kind of know but just to be sure)
i know this shouldnt be hard... anyone?

i found the port range i need to block so i just set up a filter on my router for now... i still wanna know how to do it within the system.
anyone?
