how do I auto load modules


Hi can anyone help?
I have sorted out how to initialise my Ti sd/mmc card reader on HP nc6120 by loading tifm-0.6b.tar.bz in SUSe10.1 then upgrading to SUSe10.2 then by using the modprobe I can get the card to be reconized and loaded.

how do I automate the modprobe comands to insatl automaticaly on start up?

any help apriciated

I know there is an easy way to to this but im new to all of this

You can put the names of the modules to load during startup in the /etc/sysconfig/kernel file.

Quote:

## ServiceRestart: boot.loadmodules

# This variable contains the list of modules to be loaded

# can not be detected automatically.

MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT=""
You could also put them in the /etc/modprobe.conf.local file. Don't do both though.
