How do I add the Firefox icon to the XFCE panel?
I just installed Gentoo linux with XFCE and Firefox (among other programs), and I was wondering where I could find the Firefox icon so I could put it in the panel. I am actually pretty new to "PC" Linux, and have pretty much been using the command line until, well, a few minutes ago. Where do these sort of programs put their "stuff," anyway?
Thanks. |
I believe the firefox icon is in the "/usr/share/pixmaps" directory, though I could be wrong.

There is an icon for firefox in the firefox directory. On my system it is /opt/firefox/icons.
To create an icon on the XFCE panel, right click on the panel and select "add new item" --Ian |
I am not sure about gentoo, however I am using Slackware 10.2 and my icon is located in /usr/lib/firefox-x.x.x/icons/
Hope this helps DragonM15 |
