How Do I Add New Version Of eFax To Repositories?

I got ubuntu and the new version of efax-gtk has been out for a while. How do I add this package to my repositories so that it's updated automatically?

Basically, you can't. Newer versions of software are added to the repos when the distro maintainers deem it suitable for the version of the distro that you're using. However, you can go here to download it manually.

TAKE NOTE:

Quote:

To compile and run efax-gtk-3.*, the GTK+-2.* and libsigc++ libraries must be installed. GTK+-2.* comes with Gnome-2.

Version 3.* of efax-gtk does not use gtkmm. That dependency was removed on going from version 2.2.16 to version 3.0.0. Functionally, version 2.2.16 is identical to version 3.0.0.
In most cases, there are reasons why packages are not automatically updated through the repos.
i.e. It may end up destabilizing your system because of the different requirements.
