How do I add a picture to an MP3 file?

I tried to upload an MP3 to YouTube. It rejected it, telling me it needed video. It had a link to instructions that would tell me how to do this, but it didn't. I figure it must be easy. I'll just add a random picture to satisfy them.

Usually you make a movie with some program and take some photo or video and add this mp3 to it. All sorts of choices available.
Video creator or movie maker/editor sort of search words.
I suspect that maybe ffmpeg or vlc could maybe take some video and add this mp3 to it.

The other way may be to do an online convert to do that.

Youtube has some examples (rant unless you have an amazon tv)

Pretty sure any MP3 tagger can do it?

Puddletag and Easytag are two I've used.

You'll have to use a video editor, I like open-shot. all you have to do is set the duration on the random pictures to the length of the mp3, then add sound(mp3).

Btw your title is misleading:)

Let us know what works.

^ idk youtube upload requirements, but it IS possible to add an image to an audio file.
title is not misleading.

i'd try to use ffmpeg first.

Absolutely correct. I've done/seen thousands of mp3 with album art. But I doubt that works for utube.
