How create HTML email in Thunderbird ?

All older instructions refer to "insert" menu button, which I do not have.

how to do it in the latest version ?

You have to enable HTML composing:

* Go to "Edit > Account Settings"
* Click "Composition & Addressing" (for the sending account)
* Enable "Compose messages in HTML format"
* Click "OK"

Now when you compose an email, you should have a toolbar present with buttons for font styling / images etc.
