How can I see the other 10 columns

I use "stty cols 90" to set the terminal to have 90 cols. Then I run vi. I can input characters in 81~90 columns, but I cannot see them.
Anyone knows how can I see the characters "out of the screen"?

Thanks in advanced.

i know that if i'm looking at the man pages with more than one terminal open and i hit just the arrow key it moves over the whole page. what i wanted to do was shift+arrow to change terms.

try just the arrow key. other than that i'm not positive.

cheers.
