How can I print a scanned image?
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 on a MacBook 2.1 hooked up to a Epson Perfection 1260 scanner and a Epson 830 Photo Stylus printer.
I have been trying to scan a simple one-page document and then print that document to paper (the document is handwritten). However, in spite of saving the scanned image in a variety of file types (.jpeg, .png, ,pdf, .ps, .tif, .pnm), in no case would any of these files print for me. Can anybody suggest how I might resolve this? Thanks |

I was using Gimp, F_Spot, Gnome Image Viewer and Adobe Reader as appropriate. However, it seems my problem was that I was scanning in Gray mode and had selected the Slide media type. When I changed these respectively to Color and Full Color Range, the files (well, I only tried the .tiff file) printed perfectly from the Gnome Image Viewer. |
