how can i play .AVI and .dat with KDE media player in linux Redahat 7.3
 

some of vedio type come with the extention .abi and .dat

Linux player cannot play this files .

what should i do


change the extention ..

or

support them in the file associate ...

i try these ways but no way ..

you shouldn't always narrow things down to a specific solutino that might not be possible. kde media player is pretty basic, and won't be able to play avi files very well. http://mplayerhq.hu
