How can I play 2 audio files at the same time?

Hi

I need to play 2 MP3 files at the same time, either both files to both channels (left and right) or one file to left and one to right.

Anyone know how I might be able to do that?

I'm running Linux Ubuntu 9.04

Thanks for any help

Jon

Sure you can. Open 1 in your media player and then open the 2nd one in another instance of the same (or a different) media player.

Thanks - didn't think that would work because of sharing the driver but will give it a go. Cheers

It should work just fine. There are hardware mixers (on your soundcard) and software mixers (usually part of alsa). If it doesn't work, search on alsa enable sound mixing
