How can i mount my ntfs partation

Hi
can you tell me how can i mount ny ntfs partation. If there is any rpm for ntfs. please send me download links.

If my fstab lost how can i recover it? I have tried through linux rescue but due to SATA drive in my system its bark for hard drive drivers. Is it right that every time you mount your root through rescue linux you need hard drive drivers.
Have a nice day

Hi
Which distro are you using? This is important because the way you have to go depends on this, and also on the Kernel version.

As for your second question, since it is not related to the first one, it would be better to post it seperately.

Most modern distros have ntfs support built in.

This is not clear. What do you mean by "rescue Linux"? Do you mean the rescue mode when you boot?

And what does this mean??:

Yes, you are right buddy (in rescue mode). In hda iam easly mounted my root partation. Look what i am passing if the system have hda drive......
(In rescue shell)
a) fdisk -l (To see my partations)
b) e2label /dev/hda2 (To check which is my root partation)
c) mkdir tt
d) mount /dev/hda2 tt/ (Simply mounting / partation in tt dir)
e) cd tt
f) vi /etc/fstab (And make changes)

*** Same thing in not performing well in case of SATA drive (/dev/sda). And in resuce mode it asking for Hard disk driver ***
Hope you solve my problem
***cheers with beers***

And if you want write access to your NTFS file system(s), look at http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ for your distribution. Note: If you're running selinux, you will need to set it to "permissive" mode since it (selinux) does not understand file system names that contain dashes.
