How can I make my aggregator actually *aggregate*?

I've tried different web-based and desktop "aggregators" but I find (for example with Blam) that they don't put the feeds into a single screen. I don't want to click each blog feed in the left column to lee posts from that feed. I want something like the Planet aggregator where posts from different blogs appear one after another, but Planet seems to mean setting up my own server. is there a way I can do this in Blam or something similar?

I'm otherwise happy with the way Blam is set up. I want to just have one line for each post title, nice and compact - unlike Bloglines or FireFox Live Bookmarks.

(Running Mandriva - was thinking of switching to Debian but changed my mind.)

In KDE's Akregator all you have to do is click (once!) on "All Feeds". Voila!

Cheers

Thanks - however I forgot to mention I'm using the Gnome version of Mandriva. That makes Akregator a 70 MB installation (rather than ~2.8 MB), and I avoid installing anything that's obviously not meant for my system.

I've tried Straw and Liferea with no luck. (I'm confused - why do they call them aggregators when don't aggregate?) It's looking like I'll have to choose a web-based aggregator... but any leads on a suitable package for Gnome appreciated!

One thing I also want to do is aggregate a small number of Twitter feeds that I watch regularly (informative rather than what's-for-breakfast) but it looks like the best thing for that is a separate Twitter account.
