How can I make mousewheel scrolling more efficient in nautilus?

Is there any way to make nautilus scroll like win2k where the viewpoint moves 1 column over with every click?

I deal with a lot of files with very large and similar file names so I tend to have to do a lot of scrolling. Unfortunately, In nautilus, I have to scroll 5 times with the mousewheel just to move 1 column over, whereas it takes 1 scroll in windows.

Is there any way make scrolling in nautilus more efficient?
