How can I make Kontact and Google Calendar play nice?
 
Since Google calendar doesn't support categories, I can't use it as my primary calendar resource. However, I like that I can access it from anywhere and that I can share it with people. I use kontact. Is there a way to:

1) Automatically merge kontact resource files? this would be great, but I can't figure out how to do this. Ideally, if I change something in kontact, I'd like it to update both my google and local calendar files. It seems it only will update the resource file that i have set as my default.
2) Sync my local and remote Google calendars? I guess a cron script would work for this, but I don't know how I could automatically upload my local ics file to google.

Not sure about kontact/kmail, but Thunderbird/Lightning can be synced with Google Celendar.

The linux.com guide works. It's what I am using to synce my google calender with kontact

do you have a link? and again, i'm needing to be able to use both the google resource and a local resource to do what i need to do...
