How can I make KDE icons stay in one place?.....

Everytime I start up they are bunched up, even overlapping. I have chose save session or whatever that was. Is there a way to make them stay where I want them to, or is microsoft writing code for KDE now...

The steps should be pretty universal, so do the following (It's the case for Mandrake/Mandriva and possibly Suse anyway): Have your mouse over the desktop anywhere, as long as its not over any icons or programs. Right click on your mouse and select "configure desktop" Go to behavior and go to the tab saying "file icons". There, select "automatically line up icons" It should do the trick

ummmm yea, but when I reboot they are in a new position. They will not stay where I put them or choosing automatic.
