im using xubuntu . so i cant find any 'theme managers' so how do i install themes/icons? i tried extracting them to a .themes folder but there isnt one. so i created one. and nothing happened when i extracted a theme to it. its just a file there. how do i apply it. or is there some other way to do it?
When you properly extract GTK or xfwm4 themes to ~/.themes they should show up in "User Interface Settings" for GTK themes, and "Window Manager Settings" for xfwm4 themes. Icon themes should be put in ~/.icons and they will show up in the "Icon Theme" tab in "User Interface Settings".
i dont know.in the archive manager thing i clicked extract to- and then the themes folder. but when i go there its just a folder in the .themes folder.
