how can i connect to a remote X server?


hy

i have several pcs and the xbox whit linux install in my network and i want to connect from one linux box to the other using its Xserver, but i dont know how to do it or if you need something special runing in the pc that its going to be the x server i once saw somethin like $>X :192.168.0.2:1 , and x -query plus xhost + .

but i can get it to work someone can help?

On the PC (server) with the display you want to conenct to:
xhost +
or
xhost + ip.of.the.client

On the PC (client) who has the app you want to run:
export DISPLAY=ip.of.the.server:0

Then run the command on the client. There are other ways such as using ssh but that should work.
