How can i configure linux gateway
 
Hi All friends


Im going to Configure a Linux Gateway server for my LAN. It will locate in between router and my LAN.

I used 192.168.0.x private ip range for my LAN PCs. and im expecting to configure firewall, nat, proxy on that gateway server

who can guide me to do that.

Im new for linux and im interesting Linux

search around here or go to howtoforge.com(i know there are walkthroughs for configuring gateways there). It may or may not be distro specific, but the steps will be similar regardless

There are also a number of gateway/firewall distros you can use

Untangle
ipcop
shorewall
smoothwall
clark connect

lots of choices out there.
