How accurate is LM_Sensors

How accurate is LM_Sensors, The reason I ask is sensors reads that my Pentium 4 3.0ghz CPU is runnng 65.5 celsius. Thats all good but my CPU averages 55 celsius under load, which yes is still very high, But I'm working on that too I just ordered a new zalman heatsink fan. Gonna give that a try.
