Honeyd and NMAP

Hello all.

I have a question regarding Honeyd and NMAP.

When i run honeyd everything is fine, but when i check out the stats provided from nmapping the host / network, it comes up empty for my virtual hosts. Does anyone have an idea of whats going on?

When i ping the virtual hosts, it times out on the first packet, but reveals a response on the other 3 ping attempts. The first response received is much higher than the rest as arpd is waiting for a response, but the other two are considerably faster, as expected.

However, NMAP reveals nothing. Anyone have an idea on how to make nmap see the virtual hosts?

Thank you,

-Sean
