Home Owner Software

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought my first house :D I'm looking for software for Linux that I can design things with, like yard layout and blue prints. Something similar to this would be great:

I've checked out qcad, and that's a little robust for my needs. What about Dia? Could I use that? I suppose I could purchase one and try it with Wine, anyone do that?

Thanks in advance!
Jeremy

Dia is fine for these things. Pretty all-round, actually - I use itin Debian for designing electrical circuits.

Do you know where they might have any templates for DIA? I'm looking for something similar to the Office Layout Template in Visio (ie, walls, doors, windows, stairs, etc...).

Jeremy
