Home folder not browsable or viewable

For some reason, after being logged in for a period of 3 or 4 days with out logging out I can't browse my home folder. When trying to browse or view by clicking Home it hangs. I can use a terminal to get to it fine. I'm using gnome and Kde. Both have this problem, I'm using fedora core 3 and can't find anyone else with this issue. Any help would be appreciated but not really expected.

Which filemanager(filebrowser) o you use? nautilius? koqueror? both? if using a terminal everything is ok so the problems should be with the filebrowsers(manager)...

Yup no matter what file manager I used I get that problem. Only thing that will allow me to browse is if I use a terminal.

I cannot give a concrete solution but try to clean up your home, maybe a strange file is making Naut. and konqueror hang... (use mc...)
