Question /home dir with nautilus wont open properly

When I click on my home folder to open it, I get a pop-up that says nautilus is unable to view this folder, but yet it ends up opening anyway. When I go to open trash,or start here, my /home folder opens up, with the same pop-up.Nautilus is somewhat confused, and I don,t know how to straighten it out. When I go into the "open with" menu, I pick, /usr/bin/nautilus, but yet the pop-up continues.
Any help in "re-linking" Nautilus to to the proper files would be appreciated>
