HL2 E3 2004 video close after 1 second on any media player

When I play the HL2 E3 2004 video (the 680mb one) in any media player that I have it just closes after a second! I tried GXine and MPlayer. When I run it from konsole in one of these applications, I get a signal 11 error. It also does that for some WMV but not all.

(If you want the complete error message just tell me and I'll post)

Please help me I'm on KDE 3.2.2 on Fedora Core 2 with Kernel 2.6.
