Highly sophisticated graphics versus Playstation One?

Hi,

It seems that highly sophisticated graphics are a revolution for gaming, but not so much. Maybe you may feel like HD-GFX, they help to bring fun, but with some limitations.

PS1 or PS2 games were awesome, and they were actually sufficient for fun and gaming.

What's your own opinion?

PS1? Heck, Atari 2600 games were awesome, and sufficient for fun and gaming. I still play more Atari & original NES games on emulator than I do modern games.

I'm sitting in the shelter right now, waiting until the water recedes from my property. Playing Colonization, 1994 version.
