HIDPOINT and Wireless keyboard not working

I needed to have a logictech LX500 wireless keyboard and mouse on a UBUNTU system (LUCID) 64bit. Both mouse and keyboard communicate with a single USB wireless unit.

Without installing anything special the wireless mouse worked fine. So to have the keyboard work, I thought to install HIDPOINT (ubuntu 64bit). The install went successfully (thanks to help in this forum). The HIPOINT does not recognize either the mouse nor keyboard when configured to auto select devices. Mouse will still worked fine. Further configuring HIPOINT to manually select my keyboard (Logictech LX500) and mouse and reboot, still keyboard does not work.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing HIPOINT and reinstalled lib - ia32-lib, but still keyboard problem. Since the wireless mouse worked without HIPOINT, is it possible that another driver for usb wireless keyboard and pointing devices is conflicting with HIPOINT. Any suggestions on how to precede next?
