I bought the game Heretic II for Linux and have not been able to get the game to work. I have tried Loki Games support, but they took forever and did not help. I am not very familiar with the Linux console, so if console commands are necessary, please be clear on them. The problem is that I can install the game on my computer running Linux Mandrake 9.1, but the game will not execute. I'm also having the same problem with Quake III Arena (Demo downloaded from tuxgames.com). I know this isn't much info. on my problem, but I would like some pointers or tips, if any. If anyone is willing to help, I'll run the game and give specific error messages. Thanks!

Do you have an nvidia gfx card? Are the drivers properly set up? If you launch the game from the console; i.e. %quake3 what is the output?

I have an ATI Rage mobility p video card and the drivers are properly configured. This card meets the requirements for both games as per the system requirements on the box of the game. Thanks for the reply.
