Help with wine. etc

When I use wine it will only run exe's that are installers for a program. It won't let me just have the WINDOWS dir, open up paint and work, it has to install to work. Other people have pics of them using calc, wordpad, paint, etc, but ho do I do that? And also when I try to install IE it complains on not having the right files (dll etc). How do I get this to work?

Other people have also got windows explorer (taskbar, icons, windows) to work. And there will be a pic of the taskbar over the KDE one and you can click on the start button, the works.

How do I do that.

I love IE. I don't know what is up w/ you linux people who just want to kill IE. Hey KDE users Konquerer is just like IE, it is a filemanager and a internet brower.

All the othe web browsers are just really thick and bulky for me. Like opera, GROSS.

Fire fox for windows is good but for linux it doesn't look the same. ????

I Don't want anyone to yell at me. I am really picky about my browsers and I Like IE. I don't like the ne windows search thing I liked the old windows 98 one. Now they made the search thing just like IE eww.

some of what you say is a little questionable there.

to have ie explorer install
wine-20041201 (not just any wine will do )
and this
http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/config.html
read the readme just do what it says and install everything (Manual Instalation)

i can't speak for everyone but i use Linux because the software is better
but it's a love that took a while (years) to develope like fine WINE
