Help with users and passwords????

Is there a way I can save username and password information?
What I am attempting to do is build a new Red Hat 9 box and use the users and passwords and home directories from a mandrake 9.0 box I already have up and working.

Can this be done without loosing the users info?

backup /etc/passwd /etc/shadow and /etc/group
and /home

if both boxes will have the same /home, nfs would be an option to look into also.

ok, what about the mail files? This box is a email server
