Thanks for the help, but I still can find theme manager.
When I open kcontrol and select appearance and themes, there is no option for theme manager. I only see background, screensaver, style, window decorations, colors, fonts, icons, kgamma, kwix, launch feedback, mosfet's liquid and panels options.
This is my second install of suse 9.0 and its still the same.
No. I did some googling and I think that the problem may have something to do with the latest versions of KDE and Gnome are trying to work more closely togather. I think that in the latest versions of KDE and Gnome there is only one theme manager for the two desktops. Try starting gnome-theme-manager from the command line and see if you can change the KDE theme with the Gnome theme manager.
I got a theme prefrences window open by using gnome-theme-manager.
Buy it dosn't allow you to add kde themes or change themes, it shows you previews of the ones already there but nothing for using them.

I looked all over the place including SuSE, KDE, and google but I cannot find any instructions on how to work with the new unified (or partially unified) desktop. Documentation appears to be rare. The best that I could come up with on your problem is:
