How do u run the tar .gz i am wanting to try this and see if it's better than limewire

Open a terminial and cd to the directory where the file is waiting to be unzipped. Then type

tar -zxvf gtk-gnutella-0.85.tar.gz

Then follow either the readme or install file and you should be all set.

And when I mean graphical I mean colorful buttons and eye pleasers. This does not have that at all.

OK. I got it installed with no problems is really easy to use. So far i likes. Now limewire when its runing and won't shutdown hwo do I shut it down manually? u know how windows can endtask what do u do with linux?

gonus take a close look to the option screen/shutdown you will understand

Limwire? YA! i liek it alot I don't really run Gnut alot except for movies because it doesn't seem to find that much. Thanx half_elf i got it with ctr+alt+esc(turns cursor into skull ythen i click on what i want to kill) i can help with limeire if u need. I though tfrom your post above u had them both running.
