Help with GDM

I'm running debian atm. I installed xserver, I installed gdm, installed KDE witht he use of apt-get. Now I've gotten a whole bunch of packages for the Englightenment desktop through apt-get. When gdm boots up, however, only KDE is listed to boot into. I've been pointed to /usr/share/xsessions which has a file called kde.desktop in it. I've opened the file and it looks somewhat simple. It seems to point gdm in the direction of KDE. However, I don't know where to point gdm to find enlightenment. Can anyone help me out with this?

Also, as a little add-on: Right now when I boot I get the grub screen, pick a kernel and boot into gdm. How can I set it to boot to a command line and I can start gdm when I need it, and leave it off when I don't?

Thanks for the help everyone.

Isn't there a file for enlightenment in /usr/bin. So far all desktop environments and windows managers had a startup script there.

yes, well I guess the question is this: what do I want to run? For instance, the run KDE the listing in kde.desktop calls for running startkde. I don't know if enlightenment has an analogue other than enlightenment, and I don't want to screw something up in a way I can't actually recover from... though I'm about to try that now anyways.

**EDIT**
on second thought... perhaps I won't. The file enlightenment in /usr/bin is not a shell script it's executable. Enlightenment.install is a shell script... anyways the point is I don't know what script to run... any help?

**EDIT2**
ok, got it running. by pointing to /usr/bin/enlightenment (maybe it was obvious, but not to me) Anyways, I shall venture another question: I used apt-get to dl a few themes... does anyone know where they are and how I get enlightenment to use them? thanks!
